This is a SIGNED CORO CRAFT STERLING MULTI FLAGS BROOCH from a Maryland Estate... info as follows: Description: sterling vermeil, enamelling; Marked: Sterling Craft by Coro Reference: Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry, p. 48 dates the mark to 1942. The initials refer to the flags - America, Britain, China, the Dutch - though Holland itself was occupied after 1940, the Dutch Empire in the East Indies continued in this 'ABCD' alliance against Japan). See patent below for a 1942 patriotic pin with the same flags ...... size is 1 3/8" X 1 7/8" ..... Beautifully Enameled in RED WHITE AND BLUES ..... EXCELLENT CONDITION 1942
